Girls Getaway!

A week and a half later, and still celebrating my B-day!

If my face is glowing in this picture it's because I just had a "Glo" Facial!

We had a blast at our Girls Getaway!! 10 girlfriends came, and for those who couldn't make it we will definitely do it again! We ate dinner in downtown Grapevine at a fun little Tex-Mex place. It was loud and crazy, especially with our table of 11. Jamie surprised me with a Birthday cake that seemed like it had a ton of blazing candles on it! After dinner we headed to the Great Wolf Lodge where half the girls had Spa treatments, while the other half tried out the indoor waterpark and hot tub. We all met back at the Spa and talked as we enjoyed some delicious tea. When we got back to the room we changed into PJ's and Sarah and I went on a hunt for some candy and sweets! The rest of the night was just talk, talk, talk, with a few ballet performances by Sarah! We got in trouble for laughing and being too loud so after midnight we had to tone it down a bit. Slowly, our numbers started to dwindle as one by one the pregnant laddies couldn't hold out any longer and headed for bed! The "night owls", including myself, got a second wind around 2 am, and even though we were in bed we still chatted until somewhere around 3:30 am. Sarah and Nicole get the all nighter prize -- they made it until I think 5:30 am before deciding to get a few hours of sleep! It was such a fun night, Thanks to all my wonderful Girlfriends who came!

Ice Storm!

This is about as close to snow as we get in Texas. A thin layer of ice covered our backyard and although Dresden couldn't really build a snowman out of it, he had fun trying to break off big chunks of ice!

This GIRL!

This Girl cracks me up! Her favorite word right now is "Mine" and not only does she think everything belongs to her, but she has to have things a certain way. She will not accept cereal given to her in a bowl, but rather feels she is entitled to the entire box! Lately she pulls her little chair up to the kitchen counter and grabs whatever is there for her prize. In the picture above, she had somehow reached the box of Cheerios and I caught her hoarding them in her room, just as happy as could be! On a not so funny (for me) note, yesterday she found the eggs that were still sitting on the counter from breakfast and felt inclined to drop them one by one onto the floor below. I wondered what the strange noise was in the kitchen and by the time I got there 3 had already been dropped and shattered on the floor!

We Love You Daddy!!

Chad hates when I brag on him, but I must say how proud I am of my hubby! If you know us, you know the insane hours my husband works! He is the hardest worker, yet is still able to balance our family and an intense MBA program, all on about 4 hrs. of sleep per night (sometimes less or none). Thanks for all you do for us! WE LOVE YOU!!

Happy Birthday to me!

I had a great Birthday yesterday! Jill came down and we had Brunch at my favorite little breakfast spot, Dream Cafe. If you live in Dallas you should check it out because, well, it's a dream (I recommend the Granola Crusted French Toast)! It was a beautiful day so afterwards we took the kids to the park to play and soak in the sun! Later, Dresden really wanted to make me a Birthday cake and he was very specific what type of cake he wanted for me - it had to be pink princess with sprinkles! Chad had class so I planned to eat it with the kids, but I was happy to share it with Jamie and Sarah when they stopped by! There will be more Birthday posts to come I'm sure, Chad is taking me out this weekend and next weekend I'm having a girls weekend getaway that I'm so excited for!

Kissy, Kissy!!

Every once and a while the babies get in a "Kissy Mood" with eachother and kiss over and over like it's some kind of game. I'm sure we encourage it because it's so cute, but usually they initiate it on their own. This was after they ate and they just didn't want to stop kissing!! I captured it a little, but too see it in person is too cute!

Hands FULL!

My friend captured this just as I was walking into McDonald's to meet for a play date. Yep, this is pretty much my life! My hands are always full, but what can I say -- I love it!!
