A Good Purchase . . .

I am pretty excited about the twins new high chairs that I bought at IKEA for just $20! So cheap! They are very basic and I love how light weight and unobtrusive they are, a definite recommendation! Can't believe how big the twins look in them!

These TWO . . .

are at such a cute age right now!

It is funny to watch as they both go for the same toy

Chad made the comment the other day that he wishes we could freeze the twins at this age, and it is true! They are happy and content most of the time and immobile (however, I have a feeling that is not going to last long)! We are having a lot of fun with them right now. On a side note -- Ciena's hair kinda got stuck standing up in the front from her bow and Dresden was quite concerned. He told me it looked "scary" and we needed to go wash it right a way!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

We had a great time at Dresden's pre-school Valentine's Day Party! Dresden't favorite part was decorating (and eating) the heart shaped cookies. It was also his first time handing out Valentine's, he thought that was pretty fun too!

They all come different!

I never realized until I had more than one child, and especially two at the same time, that babies can be so different! First of all, the twins are SO different from Dresden -- I was hoping that the reason Dre was such an easy baby was because of our excellent parenting skills (yeah right)! I am now realizing it is not so much the parenting at this age, they all just come different! Different temperaments, likes, dislikes, developmental skills, sleeping habits, food preference, all of it! Here are a few differences right now between the Twins...

COEN
- very loud, ear piercing cry -- if he is not happy you definitely will know it
- hates his car seat (although he's getting better)
- he's a major boob man and only takes formula if he's starving and I'm not around
- loves playing on his tummy and will roll the second he's placed on his back
- does not like to be swaddled and rolls all over his crib before falling asleep
- usually has a blank stare on his face and we wonder what he must be thinking

CIENA
- softer, low cry -- if a cry can sound sweet she has that kind of cry
- loves the car and car seat
- will still nurse, but prefers to hold her own bottle so she can look around at everything and everyone
- she is very into playing on her back and reaching and grabbing for things
- loves to be swaddled when falling asleep
- she is our social butterfly and has it all figured out. She will cry if you put her down to hold her brother or walk out of the room

All the things that make my kids different are the things I love most and what makes them all so special and unique in my eyes.

Almost sitting up by themselves!

This girl is all SMILES!

If you look hard on Coen's left side you can see his first tooth!
