Happy Girl, Not so Happy Boy!

This picture perfectly depicts the twins personalities right now. I set them both down to play while Dre is getting his hair cut and Ciena happily goes off to play, meanwhile Coen throws a little tantrum on the floor! He is totally inconsolable and only wants to be held. In all fairness he is having a hard time teething right now; this picture makes me laugh and is another example of how different they really are.

Ambush Makeover!!

Good bye long locks, hello Fo-hawk! My family will be happy to see that the long hair is gone. I must say I had a hard time with this, I just love Dre's hair, but with Summer here it was time for a change. Quite the transformation, right? In my biased opinion he is a cutie either way!

Little Fireman!

This is for you Dad - you've got one in training! The heat is on in Texas and all Dresden wants to do is play in the water. He is at the age of curiosity right now and asks at least 100 questions a day. He is very interested in the weather and seasons right now. Here are just a few examples of the questions I get ALL day long -- " is it going to rain? Is the rain nice? Where does thunder live? Why is there lightning? Why does it have to be summer? Why is it hot today?" and so on and so on . . .
Although sometimes I get tired of all the questions (can we just have a nice quiet car ride??) I really love watching him learn. He is such an amazing little boy and I am truly awed as I watch him grow.

Baby Daddy

The babies LOVE their Daddy! They hardly see him during the week, with work and Chad's MBA program he usually gets home after the twins are in bed and leaves for work before they are awake in the morning. I guess maybe that makes him a novelty when they do see him because they will NOT leave him for a second when he's around. I love this picture because it shows how excited the twins are to be hanging out with their dad - even when he's sleeping!

Lil Bums!

I've started bathing these two together and it is hilarious! They are both SO active right now and crawl all over the bathtub and each other! They will both see a toy and wrestle to see who can get it first -- usually Ciena wins. Coen is definitely more of a mover between the two, but Ciena knows how to get what she wants (that's my girl)! Love, love, loving this age right now!
