The ZOO!

On Saturday we took our first mini trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo! We went with some friends and had a great time. The twins were really good (thank goodness for Baby Bjorn's) and Dresden had a blast. Dresden's favorite was the snakes -- he is really into snakes lately and I have no idea why?? Maybe that's what Grandma can get him for his birthday -- a FAKE one, of course!

TEXAS STATE FAIR

On Friday night some friends invited us to go with them to the opening night of the Texas State Fair and we decided to brave it with the twins! Chad and I each strapped a baby on (in the Bjorn) and we were off! It was a fun night and I especially loved the food -- corn dogs, funnel cake, fried cookie dough (a first this year) -- YUM!

The babies are getting big and becoming lots more interactive, which is fun! Coen is outweighing his sister at 11 lbs. and Ciena is just 9 lbs. They are smiling all the time and Coen has recently started to suck his thumb.

My BIG Boy!

I can't believe how big Dresden has gotten! He seems to have grown up a ton just since the twins were born. Today was his first day of Pre-school and he was so excited. When we got there it was a little crazy and all the kids were crying. I could tell Dre was nervous, he was holding on to my hand tightly. I told him if he didn't cry I would bring him a "surprise" when I came back and he nodded his head. I then kissed him and walked out the door - it was so hard to not look back at him! A minute later I peeked inside the window and he was playing in the sandbox with his friend, Benton, so that made me feel better! He is such a good boy, I don't know how I lucked out with him!

True Friends!!

I am so lucky to have friends who made the trip to Dallas with the sole purpose of helping me out with the twins! Kelly and Kamilah, THANK YOU!! It was unlike any of our other "girls" trips that we've done in the past. We pretty much only had time for the twins and didn't do much else, yet somehow we still laughed a ton and had the best time together!

Since I haven't had a chance to take the babies to get pictures yet Kelly, Kamilah, and I decided we would do our own little photo shoot. We are obviously not professionals, but we had lots of fun and got some cute shots!
