Katy Trail and the Park

The weather has finally started to cool down - so lately we have been taking walks in the morning to the park. We live right on the Katy trail (a paved path for walking/jogging) and about a mile down the trail there is this great little park that Dresden loves. I can't believe how independent he's gotten just in the last month. He climbs up on the playground and goes down the big slide all by himself! He has this little routine where he climbs up with woodchips in his hand and before he goes down the slide he first sends the woodchips down, then hangs on the bar, and then proceeds down the slide. Such a funny little dude!

The girls went to dinner at the Corner to Bakery to celebrate Jen H. and Jaclyn's B-day's. Happy Birthday girls! 

Dallas Zoo ... Again!

We went to the Dallas Zoo last weekend and Dresden talked about it ALL week! He would seriously bring it up at least 10 times a day, he obviously loved it! The cutest was when we were eating breakfast one morning and he looked at me and said, "Mommy.... Zoo.... Monkey" he then puts his finger under his arms and says "Ooo,Ooo,Ooo"!
So on Saturday morning when he asked to go to the Zoo first thing there was no way we could not go. This time our friends Steve and Nicole came along with their little girl Hayden. Dresden seemed to enjoy himself just as much this time! He loves the petting Zoo part where he actually tried to ride on the goat. We also let him splash around in the river, and no Zoo trip is complete without a ride on the carousel! 

Thanks to everyone who has sent us flowers and shown so much support for us this past weekend. For those who we haven't had a chance to talk to, I miscarried at 10 weeks. Physically I am feeling fine and all went well with the surgery (D&C). I think it really puts into perspective what a miracle and blessing each healthy child is. It's hard to feel sad when I have this beautiful little boy running around and making me laugh all day. Dresden is such a blessing, and I have no doubt that the opportunity to have another one will come along again. 

The Dallas ZOO!

We decided to take a trip to the Dallas Zoo today! It is literally just 5 minutes away, but for some reason we have never been (we usually go to the Fort Worth Zoo). Anyway, it was a lot of fun and Dresden especially loved the petting Zoo the carousel 

FUN with Auntie Kamilah!!

We had so much fun while Kamilah came to visit last week! Unfortunately, Kamilah was feeling a little under the weather, so there are not many pictures because we didn't do a lot! The first night she got here we went to a Texas Rangers Baseball game. The rest of the days we just hung out and watched movies! We did get a little trip to the Mall in (complete with MAC Makeovers), but other than that we just hung out and relaxed. I LOVED having my best friend
here and it's amazing how no matter how many miles separate us our friendship stays the same!
